Cap is a free Chrome extension by Navi+ Tools (tools.naviplus.io/toolset/images/cap) that lets you capture your current browser tab, add notes and highlights, and share the result with one link. This policy explains what Cap does with your data.
Cap does not require an account. We do not ask for your name, email or password, and we do not collect payment information.
Each published page is kept for 30 days and is then automatically and permanently deleted, together with the screenshot and notes it contains. After deletion the link stops working and we cannot recover the page.
Server logs are kept only as long as needed for security and troubleshooting.
Anyone who has the link can view the page until it is deleted. Links are long and hard to guess, but they are not password protected. Do not capture or share passwords, payment details, personal data or confidential information. Only share the link with people you want to see it.
Published pages are stored and delivered through trusted infrastructure providers (for example cloud storage and a content delivery network). They process data only to run the service for us and are not permitted to use it for other purposes.
Cap requests only the browser permissions it needs to capture the active tab when you click its icon and to publish the page you create. It does not use remote code and does not run in the background on the pages you visit.
chrome://extensions.Cap is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
If we change how Cap handles data, we will update this page and the date above.
